I got the same response from Sony about deleting the data. So I pressed them and asked for confirmation that the solution had worked successfully for other users and I got this reply:
We apologise for the issues that you have been experiencing with Lego Dimensions year 2.
We provide technical support for the PlayStation Network, and therefore we are unable to assist you with game specific enquiries and would advise you to contact Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment directly. As the developers of games are third party companies we are unable to provide their contact information.
If you have the game on disc the name of the Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment will be displayed on the cover. If you bought the game digitally on the PlayStation Store you can find out who the publisher is be searching for the game on the PlayStation Store.
