Just regular people, it isn't customer support.
I don't have a slim but I do know it appears to have a different optical drive to previous versions so that most likely would explain it.
If it is functioning as expected then it is likely normal.
Of course, you can wait and see if any PS4 Slim owners reply, but you may need some patience.
