For about a month now I have been having the same problem with my PS4. I will be playing a game or navigating through the menu of my PS4 and it will freeze. Sometimes when this happens I can hear the game sounds from the game, but the screen is frozen.
The truly odd thing about this problem is that after about 1-2 minutes of waiting, it will unfreeze and everything will be back to normal. Wait another 15 minutes, and the temporary 1-2 minute freeze will return and this process will repeat the whole time I play.
As it's only a temporary freeze, single player games are okay, but if I attempt to play multiplayer, the connection will drop during the freeze, meaning I get kicked from whatever multiplayer game I was playing.
I have attempted to start the PS4 in Safe Mode but this didn't seem to help at all.
I am wondering, is there anything I could do (like re-initialising my PS4). If not, should I take it to a repair shop or buy a completely brand new PS4 (which I don't want to do as I am not the wealthiest person in the world).
