I went through all of this with that last update (5.05) and only got my PS4 working 2 weeks ago after speaking to the help line, twitter, here nothing worked emailed the CEO and surprisingly got some help, however was the usual stuff mentioned above (install in safe mode, USB etc) however after 2 months of trying to update it worked first time. my bluray too is knackered but cant help but think there's more too it than just an update not working....!
