Loaded NMS today, greeted with the 'Initialise' screen, uh what... closed it down and checked for my cloud save, ten days old ugh what... auto upload obviously not doing it's job, lesson learned to check that one. Figured I'd load into the game and use the previous save option from the options menu, nope, apparently during initialisation it appears to overwrite both :(
Soooo, ten days worth of progress gone, been off work so it was a lot, got the platinum trophies, all milestones at 10, 48 slow exo, 24 slot multi, 43 slot ship, 20 odd million unitd, 6 to 700 words and near halfway to the galactic core, gone.
Remind me again why we cannot have mutliple saves in this game?
Anybody have any way of a possible restoration at all?
If not, make sure to check your cloud saves are uploading if set to auto, if not back your save up to USB otherwise it might always happen to you :(
