I've had a lot of success resolving this issue by temporarily switching the video output mode to YUV420, and then immediately back to Auto (RGB). When I do this, the PS4/KS8000 combination seems to sort themselves out.
It seems to only happen occasionally now (for whatever reason) but when it does occur, this method seems to keep it from coming back for some time.
