Sound issue could be an HDMI handshake issue it has happened to me a couple of times with the SkyHD box,what worked for me is switching the TV off fully at the mains for a few minutes.

Each PS4 has a unique ID number I think, it could be just that ID that is banned.So, you might be alright with a new system. Best to get some more help, I'm just guessing.
