So in other words we just sit on our hands so to speak till they release a proper update to fix the corruption. But its still good of you to have brought this to our attention that Sony is looking into this. But i wonder how long im going to have to sit with a paperweight.

Appreciate the update. In the meantime, since Sony has been quiet for five days on the subject and didn't seem to be listening to any of us, I reached out to IGN, IGNUK, Destructoid, Kotaku, 1UP and a few prolific Youtubers to try to get the story across to a wider audience. Hopefully, if the story gets big enough Sony will be a little more inspired to correct the issue.
I already got one response from one of the major blogs so far, and two of said Youtubers were already looking into it when I contacted them. I've been immersed in the VGM scene for 17 years (been working with MAGFest over here in the states since I was 16, I'm 33 now), and have lots of contacts in all corners of the videogame industry to thumb through, but I'm working my way down the list little bits at a time.

Hi,
I am providing all system messages translated from Polish but I hope it still is understandable :-).
My problem is that game's updates are starting and continues till almost the end. At the end there is a quick text "installing..." and then error message is appearing that "Content cannot be downloaded" ("Nie można pobrać zawartości"). In details I can see error code NW-31194-8.
All diagnostic seems to be OK:
- PS services "green", including PS Plus up and running
- Network parameters tested via PS and accordingly to sony suggestions
I have applied all suggestions related to this error that can be found over Internet:
- definition of DNS
- DMZ configuration
- MTU manipulation
- database rebuilding
- Wi Fi and cable connection
- router and PS restarts
- logs off/on
- game removal and re-installation
Problem appears while downloading update. IT IS NOT APPEARING while downloading system update or system related components updates (yesterday update for headphones has been installed). I have spotted the problem two weeks ago.
I have replicated the issue on update for Metal Gear Survive, Battlefield 1, Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege. The same appeared on download attempt of Fortnite (game not update).
My configuration is as follows:
Console: PS4
PS system version: 5.50 (updated 3 days ago)
Connection: Cable (problem appears on Wi-Fi too)
PS Plus subscription active
Router: ASUS RT-AC87U
Location: Poland
All other network devices work fine
I would appreciate help as of this is second week my son cannot play and I am asking myself I did I bought this PS4.

Hi, ok, had a read, just a couple more things; have you checked for a firmware update for your router and have you spoken to your ISP at all as it is possible the issue could be there?

Thank you for answer. Yes, I have checked router update. I know that there are opinions that this is router not PS problem, but I didn't change anything and suddenly PS4 stopped working.

I wish you the best of luck in finding a solution for your problems, I'd still say it's worth checking with your internet service provider if you haven't already.
Did you try running option 5 "rebuild database" in safe mode on the PS4 at all?
That can sometimes fix some very odd and unrelated problems.
It's worth a try, it doesn't delete any of your data.

So last night my PS4 accidently came unplugged. Had to plug it back in and restore database because nothing else would work. Then while trying to reinstall The Division it froze. It would turn off or do anything. So I had to unplug it again and let it set.
After plugging it back in then came the nightmare of using safe mode and options 3 through 7. All of those options did not work one bit. I have gotten SU error codes, CE error codes and the error code you got fpsrussia13 (e80180202.)
And I did what you did and called support. However, they told me that it would be $100 to send it in to look at it and see what's wrong. And if they had to they would send me another.

PS4 System Software Update 5.50 [08/03/18]
As I'm typing this reply, I'm sitting here looking at a black screen telling me to reinstall update 5.50. I'm tired of this, I left Xbox for PlayStation because my friends are here. Now after 3 years of supporting a system I've spent thousands of hours and dollars on. I'm losing hope, this system is becoming a huge mistake, if PlayStation doesn't fix their mess. Then they lose a supporter who's been playing their games since the ps1.

What did you tell them on the phone, they must assume you're at fault for stating the cable came out. Mine was plugged and failed to update that gave me the error code. Try calling or use chat, might be easier than on the phone. I have to wait untill friday to hear back from them. Good luck!
