PS4 Pro Fan Noise
I've had my PS4 Pro for about 2 years now. I bought my PS4 Pro on release date.
I'm about had it with fan noise now and it's been like this for about a year. This is mostly a problem in games like AC Origins, MHW etc. (I'm guessing games that utilitize HDR and PRO capabilities as resolution). I've set up my PS4 in different positions, checked the fan for dust with no luck.
The most annoying thing is the fan noise level is the same when I click the PS button and go back to the menu while the game is running in the background.
Is my PS4 Pro faulty or is a high noise level from the fan just normal?

PS4 is region locked
I am just a player, not a playstation rep.
This is how I managed to get around the region lock.
I have a PSN i started in australia. I recently moved to Canada and bought the Assassins Creed Origins game here in Canada. I finished the main game, but when the DLC came out, I could buy it and download it, but could not install it, as the DLC was bought from the Australian PS store.
(Since my account is an australian account, I assume it directed me to the australian PS store)
I created a new US PSN, (didnt have to get PS+, just created an account) bought the DLC, installed it... and it just worked on my main australian account. (I think this is because the disc/game was bought in North America and I have logged both accounts in on the same PS4)
I cannot guarantee this will work for everyone.. but this is my experience. This may be a possible loophole.
BUT, i am not sure if this will continue to work once i go back to australia..
if someone can say something about that, that'd be great

hi please i need help i want to change my country i have made an account before buying the ps4 and when i bought the ps4 my region changed to south Africa so i w ant ot change again to Egypt as it was

PS4 is region locked
where you bought the game and where you bought the DLC must be the same.
So if you bought the game in Europe.. but downloading the DLCs from your US store.. it wont work.
You will need to get a US version of the game OR you can try my method below

PS4 Pro Won't Turn On - Light Beeps & Nothing
So I've had my PS4 Pro since September and all of a sudden it won't turn on. It went into rest mode whilst I was busy yesterday, I turned it back on and shut it down. I go to use it last night and it will not turn on. The button beeps and the light comes on and then shuts off.
I have unplugged it, left it for 20 seconds, plugged it back in, does the same. I also tried using a disc to turn it on and that doesn't work either. I cleaned out the vents and fan, got a big bunch of black stuff all over my brush. Nothing.
I have stood it up on its side, still nothing and tried holding the power and eject button. Nothing.
I don't know what has happened and I'm so annoyed, they might not even fix it if I send it. I know these kind of tactics.

After 5.50 update, my ps4 is working I have sound but no picture. I ha ave tried it on another tv and it works fine. I have tried different species dip settings with no luck. I have tried reinstalling the update, unplugging everything, nothing seems to help. Getting desperate now, Help!

Oh, than I think Sony changed that, cause I can't remember ever being able to remove the media player. But it still comes with the firmware, cause a new or factory reset PS4 has it pre-installed.
And it doesn't change the fact that it's still a worse media player than the one on the PS3. And btw, 653MB for a media player is insane.

PS4 Media/Music player song order Alphabetical only?
Its has to cache multi up to 4K 512Mb/s videos for over 30secs of content... for the last played media so 500MB for those cached media files is not to bad. PS3 used over 256MB of cached media files and that was only 1080p player back

Error (SU-42118-6) when updating to 5.5?
**SOLVED**
Today I had my PS4 Slim investigated and there seemed to be an issue with the optical drive.
It didn't work anymore and did not have power, although all ribbon cable where connected fine.
The expert told me update 5.50 also includes a firmware update on the copy protection functionality of the optical drive. So when the optical drive can't be 'seen' by the PS4 it can't update that part and throws the error SU-42118-6.
The expert found out a capacitor on the motherboard of the PS4 was broken and therefore preventing the optical drive to power up.
He replaced the capacitor, built all together again and did the update and all was working again including the broken optical drive.
So this update explicitly wanted to do something with an, in my case, broken part and could not do it. If there wasn't an update on that part in the firmware release it would have run without repair.
So one could have an unused functionality and only will run into that issue when a future update would want to update that part also.

l placed the update into a usb but when i put it into my PS4, it says that it is a ps3 system update. HELP PLEASE!!!

So the update overloaded the capacitor, I guess? Or something. Either way, we're going to have to spend money to fix this because Sony won't remove the hardware check functionality. Awesome. =/
