Black screen for 2-3 seconds constantly
Oops, you're quite right, I re-read the first post and see I incorrectly focussed in on the Pro.
Let's put a big line through all that waffle.
Anyone have some jam and cream?
Black screen for 2-3 seconds constantly
I'm not super clear with monitors when it comes to using with consoles, though their resolutions can support those the PS4 don't and xbox one do I believe unless that's just the One X I'm thinking of.
Black screen for 2-3 seconds constantly
No this one for my PS4 stays connected to the PS4 and is hooked up to a splitter but I have tried plugging it into the TV directly but that doesn't help
PS4 microphone not working
I found a solution but I don’t know if it will work for everyone.
1. Plug your headphones in to your controller and don’t join a party yet, go to settings>>devices>>audio devices
2. Click on “adjust microphone level” and begin to speak.
3. If you hear your voice, keep on the same screen but keep hold of the Home button and join a party, then try talking. If it works then you can leave the screen.
Hopefully it works for you guys
Error CE-33116-4
PS4 Slim shuts down in Darksiders 2 Deathinitive
There are no ends to the crashes, I can progress extremely slowly (like 2-3 rooms between crashes). I tried turning off all options that could make the game run slower, and got no positive results. The game started fine, then as time progressed, the crashes got more and more frequent until it became what it is now.

Black screen for 2-3 seconds constantly
So I've just done a factory reset which seems to have stopped the main issue that I mentioned in the OP but I still have these white pixels dancing around the screen, adjusting the black levels has reduced the visibility of them but they are still present. Anyone know anything about these?

Paranoia about my external hard drive. Please help!
I just started having the same issue. Be unfortunately nothing I do (including what you did) will fix it. I may just have to reformat it on the PC and reinstall everything. Naturally I'd like to avoid that

ps4 controller not working
Remove the controller from your phone's bluetooth first, then try to re-pair it.
PS4 Pro constantly crashes.
This problem will never be fixed.
The PS4 pro is running the Vanilla PS4 operating system on very different hardware. In my opinion the old OS was built for the vanilla hardware, and the new hardware wasn’t. I think it’s causing a driver issue with the new hardware because Sony are too lazy to send out separate updates for each console. Switch to PC? I’ll agree the library is wider and mods are more available for games like Skyrim but PCs can have a crap ton of crashes playing newer games too. It’s not a console exclusive problem. You wanna upgrade your hardware every three years tho be my guest.
happy holidays.
Some PS4 disks getting rot?
So recently i had a power shortage, and although the external hard driver repair seemed to work but i wanted to play safe and went on and reinstalled all my games and i did just that.
I decided to reinstall Just Cause 3, a game i had not played for quite some time but last time i installed it, it worked just fine. I noticed the disk had a fishy look on the borders, but heck, i remember back in the PS2 days my disks had scratches like hell because of friends that sometimes did not use them right and all of them still work, heck even all my PS1 disks work.
I went on and put the disk on, and the PS4 did recognize the game, and it was spinning like installing data normally. I eventually enter it and find the install stuck at 50% and if i play Boom Island long enough it eventually crashes with an error saying disk cannot be read. After several tries, i assumed it was the disk that is at fault. And so here is a picture of it (i drew a arrow on paint to make it easy to spot the weird mark on the border):

I never saw this in all my years of gaming. Heck i have many games with a smudges, small scratches, but that never impaired them from working. I took a tour through all my PS4 games after this and i noticed some more games with marks like that, namely Mafia III (has them but small in a minor area of the borders), NBA 2K15 (it actually goes on the entire borders of the whole disk) and WWE 2K16 (same as NBA). All the other games i own have no marks like this, barely any of them have a mark of any sort. Those 3 games still work though. I still play Mafia III often (one of my favorite games), and i installed the other ones to see if they worked, and they did.
This has made me worried though that eventually those 3 games will stop working. WWE and NBA i can deal with it since i have newer editions but to lose Mafia to this problem as well would be sad. None of them, including Just Cause 3 have scratches, it´s just those stupid marks on the borders.
As anybody had this and if so is there any old trick to make the disk work again? I never seen a mark like this in all my years of gaming and i preserve my games on places where they never get sunlight, i´ve always been careful with stuff like that. I actually bought a shelf only for gaming and all of the hundreds of games it has, those are the only ones who have those marks and JC 3 is the only who does not work but i fear that Mafia 3 is going down the same path eventually.
EXTRA INFO:
A friend told me about it might be a drive problems but i seriously doubt it.
That would make sense if the marks were not there before the power issue but they were. I only came to discover this when i for some reason wanted to play Just Cause 3 (which i had not even put inside my PS4 for like 2 years now) and when i saw those marks in that disk, i went and checked all my other disks and found those 3 also with it (albeit smaller in Mafia´s case and actually bigger in the others) and they still work (but also games which i had not put inside my PS4 for a very long time, except Mafia III), i actually reinstalled them to test them and be sure, only JC3 is completely broken (i played the other ones a lot to test them and they are fine, i finished Mafia III again with no problems, did the showcases of WWE with no problems and MyPlayer in NBA also with no problems). I checked the marks before i actually put the mentioned disks in the PS4.
All the games i had installed and reinstalled now (and play often and do not include the problem affected disks, except for Mafia III) at the point of the surge (which bar recent Christmas additions are the same for like a year now, not counting digital) don´t have those marks, heck they don´t even have any scratch, i checked that from any angle imaginable. I think that pretty much writes off the drive problem.
Is it possible i just got unlucky with said disks quality? I can´t ask for a new one now, they are way past their warranty anyway. At least only one does not work, and the one i still play does work.
