Ohh really Iv not come across that one yet. Don't tell me there's more surprises in stock haha well I mean the quick fix is to delete the update for now and do it again in a few days hoping Sony has fixed it that's all I can suggest tbh sorry. If your not sure how to delete it I told a guy a few comments ago just look for my reply. It's worked for me straight away

Well, there are plenty of codes that come up for various reasons. Mine in particular was related to the ribbon cable connecting the motherboard to the sisterboard of the Blu-Ray drive. So I removed said cable, made sure nothing was damaged, reconnected the cable, put the power supply back in and tested it out. Sure enough, the update installed and everything is up and running as it should be with no problems. I was asking which error code

I updated my system today in that version and something weird happened while i was browsing the home menu.Suddenly the machine froze everything in the screen and after that brought me to the report place after restarted.It was saying that had something to do with the update as if it wasn't installed correctly! And in the suggested actions giving the usual instructions for how to update the system! Damn them if they did anything wrong,we will have issues all the way until the next update of theirs??? Anyone had a similar problem with your system? I own a ps4 pro console.

Ohhh sweet well I'm happy that worked for you and well done also for having to go through all that. And yer mine says connection problems but I know it's not that as playing online and downloading a game works fine. So to save hassle Iv just done the easy route till they fix it

PS4 pro here as well. Had same issue, was even just letting it sit on XMB, left room for a few minutes, came back and the entire console shut down. Turned it on, said could not boot, please insert USB with 5.55 update.

i have figured it out if you have taken your PS4 apart. The cable (silver/mettalic) that you unplugged from the disc operator, needs to be plugged in well. So once the power source is out that 2 inch wide silver not really a cord put a plug in, needs to be put in serculy. Worked for me

Nope. Threw it away after trying every possible fix I could find, even replaced the harddrvies, disc drives, ribbons, everything - and after six weeks of no answers.
Then, Sony sent me a box to send it back to them, which I promptly threw away as well, heh.

you sir are an absolute genius. worked a treat for me after several hours off hair pulling and usb safe mode shenanigans i done as you suggested cutting the tails of the ribbons and placing a little insulating tape over to help keep them in place then updating through internet error code became obsolete and play station is up and running again.
