SONY & PLAYSTATION need to be held accountable for their flawed updates [5.00 in this case] THAT BRICK OUR PS4s!!! 

 

Why should we pay $100+ and wait 4+ weeks for them to fix a problem that they caused???? 

 

I just hung up the phone after talking to 2 SONY SUPERVISORS who said: “THERE IS NO POSSIBLE WAY THAT A SOFTWARE UPDATE COULD CAUSE MY HARDWARE TO MALFUNCTION”…. DUMB DUMB DUMB AND FALSE FALSE FALSE!!!!!!!!!!

UPDATE 5.00 JUST BRICKED MY PS4 AFTER MULTIPLE ERROR CODES THAT FAILED TO INSTALL THE UPDATE

It isnt just the people on forums complaining, there is people who have made youtube videos complaining about it, and people who are just third partying forums and youtube to find a fix for this bug. Sony step up! Youre eating our money.

Some cables charge, but don't pass data. Are you using the usb cable that was supplied with your console? If not, try that first.

Just in case, on the off chance you are, Sony interactive entertainment are incorporated in California.

I just successfully updated to 5.0, i first opened up my ps4 and pushed in the interface cable of the blueray drive as far as.I could and stuck some tape over it.
