Oh it's working for me now. Love how it dictates when I can and can't use it lol. The "Fix and Connect" site doesn't work here though, that's only UK.
So call them, so they can say "try this, try that. No? ok, send it in"

Yeah, mine was fine as well. My ps4 is neatly placed on my tv stand, I haven't touched it, I don't even watch blu ray movies on it. Last week I inserted FF15 and played just fine. After the update, the ps4 doesn't read the disc, doesn't eject it, and doesn't update. It can't be that out of nowhere, the drive stops working...

My son who is a minor is getting this error code: CE-35332-6 "You cannot use this service with your account (sub account)." Can anyone explain why? PS does not have this error code in their database.

Mine is the same, I bought the first Tomb Raider used and tested on my console to see if it worked, now I tried the same and the drive is busted and the friend who sold me the game is on the exact same loop, who the hell beta tested this patch???

Depends if he is trying to play online or offline?
Online, there's not much that can be done. Online servers have age restrictions in place that parental controls won't bypass
Offline, there are parental controls in settings that will need to be adjusted from the master account to allow his account to play games that are not rated for his age

I only assumed my disk drive was busted because It wont work NOW. I never really used my optical drive so i just figured it must of died prior to the update. Now im leaning on the update f ucked my system up.

Not yet. I'm going to try using a different USB cable. And if that doesn't work, I'll download the update from the following website onto a flash drive and stick that into one of the console's ports.

Knack 2 has critical bugs
If you want to buy this game, please stop.... In at least three stages in the game, it has the breaking bugs make you cannot continue the progress unless you delete the save and restart the game again. The bugs were found over a month and no any updates and news for it. It seems the development team doesn’t care the feeling of players who encounter such unacceptable bugs. The game is fun but the bugs are really really bad. I will not consider to buy any more games which are developed by this company if no any bug fix on Kanck 2.

For anyone who is still having the issue with error code e-801809A8, I had the same problem of not being able to update my ps4 to version 5.00. For myself, the way that I fixed the error was by opening my ps4, (this will void your warranty), and getting access to your blu ray drive. If you haven't already removed it prior to this update or for any other reason then chances are that your blu ray drive isn't connected to the motherboard on the blu ray player. Make sure to check every connection on the drive and clean the inside of the ps4, many of the issues concering this error isn't due to the drive being bad, it's probably not connected like mine was. My ps4 has taken some bumps and bruises over the years that I've it (first generation) so it's old and chances are that one of more of the connections came loose. Hope this helps you guys out as I was stressing out and wondering when Sony was going to fix the issue.

System udate 5.0 broke my ps4 pro.
SONY & PLAYSTATION need to be held accountable for their flawed updates THAT BRICK OUR PS4s!!!
Why should we pay $100+ and wait 4+ weeks for them to fix a problem that they caused????
I just hung up the phone after talking to 2 SONY SUPERVISORS who said: “THERE IS NO POSSIBLE WAY THAT A SOFTWARE UPDATE COULD CAUSE MY HARDWARE TO MALFUNCTION”…. DUMB DUMB DUMB AND FALSE FALSE FALSE!!!!!!!!!!
