Thank you!  This solved my problem as well! It might be worth noting that the reset button on the back of the controller was tiny and deeply inset. I used a toothpick to reset it.

Playstation TV automatically change from LAN to Wifi

I tried to do PS4 Remote Play using my Playstation TV. My PS4 and PS TV were both connected through the same router by LAN.

 

As soon as I clicked “next” in the Remote Play screen on my PS TV, the connection icon automatically changed to a weak wifi ?? and error came up saying the connection was not strong enough.

 

I tried using my Wifi after that and I got full bar. And my LAN speed was not so bad 35+ Mbps

okay so i have a blue yeti and im planning to get an hyperx cloud revolver s and i noticed with my current headset which is the playstation plats that i cant use both the plat and blue yeti together anyway i can fix this problem because i really like the mix quality on my blue yeti but its audio feature is lacking so i would love to use another headset

Edit: also both mics are usb based and not audio jack

 yes, it will erase all data. It did save game save files I assume to online storage (cloud) which I was able to recover. I've done/tried all 3 options of just trying to re-try the latest update (smaller file via USB. It came close to working once. When it didn't I did just the regular "initialization" which erased everything. Any PSN dlds I had paid for, as long as you can sign into your acct, you can re-dld at no charge. But a few days later, after dld Netflix & one game, during the 2nd game dld/install (from a disc, not an online dld), it bricked again. Always this cycle of "checking system storage">the ps4 cannot start, plug in controller, hit ps button>prompts to dld latest update via USB>safe mode. Just an endless safe mode loop basically. Then I dld the "big" update which is basically re-dld the systems software i assume. Like the initialization, this worked & got it back up. But after a couple game dld/installs it goes down. This last time I had been dld The Witcher for almost 2 days (wifi), leaving it in ready mode. When it finally finished, I put the ps4 into rest mode & when I went to activate the ps4 it went down. Sorry, to answer your question, unfortunately yes it will erase your vids etc if you initialize or re-initilaize. if you can just get the small update to work, pretty sure it won't delete, just update to the latest one. I'm so sorry you're having this trouble also. I'm just out time, games saves, & some loot. It burns me up this is happening to so many people especially with the price of this system. I just got an Ethernet cable so I'm going to reinitialize ONE more time & dld with Ethernet instead of wifi & see if that helps. And get an external HD to dld to so if it happens again, i still have my stuff. I'm almost positive my HD is bad. No idea how that happened. After this im either buying a ps4 & switching out hds or saying good-bye to Sony. Good luck with everything. I've heard before you try initializing, boot in safe mode (hold down power button til it beeps twice) & try all options down the list one at a time before you resort to either initialization option.

I just got banned for the 2nd time in 3 days (I had money left in my account and when I bought something PSN thought I didnt have the money and it banned me TWICE NOW GETTING REEEAL TIRED OF YOUR NONSENSE PSN)

Let’s quickly clarify something here.

 

You don’t get banned/suspended for no reason whatsoever, bans and suspensions are caused by violations of the Community Code of Conduct.

 

A suspension on PSN is the result of a thorough investigation by Sony moderation staff as listed here:

I recommend reading through it so you can better understand why you’ve received your  ban/suspension  and to answer any question you may have concerning it.

Yep, if you have the ps camera, you can switch it to use the microphone on that

And as I’ve stated in another one of these pointless threads just a week or so ago accounts have been banned for no reason before, with no evidence just assumptions on the moderation teams part.

Hi. My ps4 entered safe mode by itself. I didn't hold down the power button. Now it's stuck. I've went out and bought two usb flash drives and added the latest update file to them because when i turn on ps4 it says something about ps4 update. So I click it and it says "cannot find the update file" when i know its on it. PLEASE HELP

PS4 Pro HDCP 2.2 / hdmi 1.4 issues

Not sure if you sorted this but there seems to be an ongoing problem with the PS4 Pro and LG TVs. I have an LG C6 and, as at Feb 2018, I have the latest firmare on both TV and PS4, and the issues remain. I found that if I want HDCP 2.2 and HDR / 4K at the same time then I simply need to unplug the HDMI cable and plug it back each time I start up the PS4. Otherwise, I have to disable HDCP.

 

I heard that rebooting the PS4 in safe made and switching to HDCP 1.4 also helps, but I still had to disable HDCP in the normal system menu with the same result.

 

I also invested in a Premium Certified cable to see if that was the issue. It wasn't. But I had a feeling it wouldn't be, because I have an Xbox One S that I've never had any issues playing 4K HDR blu-rays with, with any cable or any of the TVs HDMI ports.

Mhm agreed.

 

Not denying that it’s not the case with some as I’ve seen it on occasion when I’m on here , but the majority whether its small or big is down to somebody breaking the COC. which is mainly why I posted that  to cut down on the amount of people repeating themselves.

 

Would be nice to have a pinup thread about frequently asked questions regarding moderation (and on the occasion the moderation wasn’t justifiable) there was an email to follow up to regarding it. (If there is then it’s doing a swell job at hiding) lol

 

(Not having a disagreement with what you’ve said because I completely agree with it, due to it going over some people’s heads and becoming pointless to try and explain it further)
