Hey everyone... before quickly discarding this post, please read through.
I have been searching for weeks for tuturioals, videos, forums, etc. to try to correct the audio lag between a Sony PS4, a Sony sound bar and Sony Bravia TV.
I have purchased the optical cable and the converter from digital to analog to input via RCA directly to my soundbar.
I have tried to configure the PS4 as optical audio and linear audio config.
I have reset the configuration of the ps4, soundbar and tv.
Nothing!!!
the equipment is as follows:
Audio:Ps4 with optical cable out to digital to analog converter (steren 252-900) into Sony Soundbar CT-380.
Video: ps4 to Sony Bravia KD65 X725E via HDMI Cable
***a secondary HDMI runs from the ARC input from the tv and soundbar for other purposes***
Please let me know what to do...

now besides the fact that I cannot update to 5.50, can't even sign into PS plus or in to network without the message of " Update system software to get network features". Selecting update later doesn't help, isn't there a way to by pass this?

that is so BS dude, i have the same error.
Fortnite queued and updated before the 5.5 update, and it updated completely fine (it was even a larger update).
Then I started getting error code SU-842118-6 on system update for 5.5? I tried safemode, nothing worked.
I tired going onto the support chat and it kicks me within 10 seconds.
There isn't any information available online, and now the support site doesn't load.
I highly doubt there's anything wrong with my PS4, it is just over a year old and has been running smoothly since I got it. I was literally playing 20 hours ago, nothing was wrong with it.
How is the ps4 unable to update seriously... if there isn't a fix in the next day or two, I'm done.

No matter what I've tried from updating internet, usb and even doing initiliaze from safe mode selecting opt 7 still keeps throwing error code SU-42118-6!!!

Nice find EL_ITALIO_RD!!!!!! It does say in the description that sony fixed the trick with the 5.00 update. BUT THATS FINE... IF there WAS a way to fix it then that means there still IS a way to fix it. C'mon we can figure this out without sony (<---not worth capitalizing anymore) LOOK AT THE RELATED VIDEOS....LOOK AT THE RELATED VIDEOS OF THE RELATED VIDEOS
thats what I'm gonna do cuz i cant play the damn thing might as well try to strategically dismantle and destroy it with my own two hands then let sony break my *****....Even tho I've tore it apart to clean and replace thermal paste and it worked fine....til today.

People replace batteries, hard drives, disc drives on computers/laptops everyday. You don’t see Microsoft or Apple shutting down their systems because the rightful owner of said item decided to upgrade (or in most of our cases) CLEAN

ATTENTION all people having this error bricking your system BEFORE YOU RE-INITIALIZE Try this. Simply connect your controller via usb after turning it on, press X and let the ps4 sort itself out. Mine wasnt picking up unless i connected it via usb, idk if it was a fluke though and it just happened to restart itself as soon as i pressed a button, but i tried the usual ps support options and nothing worked. But just to clarify i did go into safe mode first and tried downloading the update via the internet first, so maybe thats also necessary. I pray this is a constant solution, cause a friends already had to initialize his, and i wish id tried this before he did. Good luck, and screw you playstation.
