I've tryed everything (Usb, all the safe mode's and etc) nothing is working , i recently replace the fan , termal paste and power block a couple weeks ago now this happens... Please Help

It's the same with me, 5.05 and it was fine, after 5.50 my controller rapidly disconnects regardless of what I do. Ive reset the controller via the hidden reset button on the back of the controller, Ive unpaired my controller, turned the PS4 off and back on, initialized the ps4. EVERYTHING. and it all started yesterday morning when I installed a mandatory update released by Sony. I've had my PS4 since Christmas of 2015 with only ever 2 issues, needing to initialize and needing a new controller due to a faulty charging port.

Did you have the beta? If you did, you have to force a manual update. Go into settings, and click on the system software update button.

after updating my PS4, it went blank and there's only a background sound.
Have tried to safe mode and it's still blank. Not having many option since everything that we do, it went blank so how can we configure when it went blank.

Confirmed: disconnected optical drive was preventing update to finish with SU-42118-6 error.
After plugging it back all went smooth.

OK guys and dolls. Here is what I did. I held the button down for about 10 secs until the system started in safe mode. I then hit the update and let it run. Of course it says error once it was finished and the PS4 of course did not reboot itself I turned it on and still got the error code. So I then unplugged the remote from the PlayStation. Used a toothpick and inserted into the stupid tiny hole on the back of the controller. Reconnected the controller and as soon as it connected hit the x button, and the PS4 did it' thing. Back to working like a charm after it rebuilt the database, nothing missing and nothing wrong. .... just gotta get the controller to work. Took me about 2 n half hours to figure all this crap out. Thanks for the heart attack Sony, I just knew my husband would kill me if he woke up and I had crashed his PlayStation into oblivion because I wanted to watch a movie, lmfao.

My sons PS4 was bricked after the 5.05v update, worked perfect before that. I’ve been arguining with Sony since January about it being there fault. They don’t give a toss. It was only 13 months old, 1 month out of warranty and they want £125 to fix it. I told them I wanted it repaired for free as it worked before their mandatory update. Went to ‘resolver’ an independent complaints company and the case is still ongoing. My PS4 updated fine with 5.05 so I had to give it to my son, updated fine again with 5.50 but can’t take mine back until his is fixed lol!
I feel everyone’s pain but unfortunately Sony don’t care. They told me they were unaware of any issues with 5.05 I sent them a link to their own forum with 124pages of peoples PS4s not working. Same old crap back ‘sorry to hear your issues blah blah, pay us £125 and we’ll fix it’ Go and fling shite at the moon Sony.
Wonder if the newspapers would be interested in Sony bending us all over.
