Error code CE-42288-4
When trying to log into the PlayStation network the above error appears. I have tried resetting the router and the PS4 but still the error appears. I have tried reconnecting to the router also and still the error comes up. Can anybody advise?

I called PlayStation tech support. They had me repair the data base. That's the only thing that worked for me. When powering up i held down the power button until it beeped. Then another menu appears to repair the database. Mine worked after that.

Game updates keep unpausing
I’m trying to download two game updates that I want, and I have the others on hold. Because my PS4 will say ps4 “was not turned off properly” when in rest mode, It will keep telling me that. So I have it on all day, not in rest mode, when trying to download game updates. When I go to look at them,ALL of the games that need updating keep coming back and automatically start updating, even though I don’t want them too. It is a pain, because it said 9/10 gigs done and 27 hours left to go, but when I look at it, it completely reset, and told me it had 99+ hours left and the other game also reset and had to start all over. Is there a fix at all? My internet is bad so that’s why it takes forever to download updates. I really want this fixed because my good games take forever to download.

My optical drive was disconnected, after my last disassembly of ps4.
I made that intentionally because I don't use it.
So I just plugged it back.
If your optical drive works fine then it's not your kind of issue.

Thanks for that! When you had it disconnected u had the power connector for the disk drive to the mothe board and blue ribbon out? Then you just updated and it worked?

I like how my brand new,straight out the box PS4 controller wont work properly cause Sony released a mandatory broken software update 5.50.. Completely unresponsive after being turned on for 6 minutes. Worked fine beforehand. It turns on works fine for 6 minutes then goes unresponsive so I have to reset the controller through the hidden reset button. GG Sony another reason for me to just sell the damned product and pick up a pc.

Ratchet and clank bug?
Just started playing the ratchet and clank reboot on ps4 and got to planet rilgar where the first hoverboard race is and it has two other objectives as well you have to clear out the enemies and it opens up... Well I cleared them the first time with help of the exterminator bots and I died when I completed it. Now the door won't let me through and the jelly enemies are spawning but when I kill them all I can't get through... Not only that but the exterminator bots aren't spawning either... I just want to do the hover board race and it won't let me get to it
