So what we opened our consoles for cleaning and maintenance. Having paid £400 for my console, I should be allowed to lube it up and do whatever I want to it seeing as it’s my console and item.
This fixed my problem and I connected via internet .. Thank you
Spoke to PlayStation UK call centre.
Felt sorry for the guy as he couldn’t help. There not really listening to anyone and was trying to get me to go through the fail safe options.
Told him I wasn’t the only one going mental with the same problem. He even agreed saying the update has caused similar issues for lots of people.
Wouldnt confirm or deny what the update has done and whether it is due to cleaning and what not.
So ***** it UK people. Let’s get on to Watchdog and ***** Sony.

Guys, I had a problem after update and my system didn’t work, and I saw “cannot start the ps4” inscription every time. I tried to reinstall the firmware(number 7 in a safe mode), but it didn’t help and after firmware reinstalling my system show me Playstation logo and then the screen turned black..... but it seems like I found the solution. So, i have bought a brand new hdd some hours ago and changed the old one with the new one, because I thought that something bad happend with my hdd. AND IT WORKED! With my old hdd after reinstalling firmware ps didn’t work, but with the new one it works. I don’t know that happend after update, but new hdd saved me, maybe it will help you too ?
and also, please, try to not download update by internet, use your pc and usb, because it’s safer. Probably update file did something with me hdd.......
And also, you can try not to buy a new hdd, but connect your current to your pc and format it, and then try to use it with your PS4 maybe it will help.
Yes. It's akin to my headlights going out and Buick sending firmware to stop my car from starting.
If I only drive in good weather during the day, why do I need headlights?
Mines dead too, gives me error code e-80180202 which doesnt even exist in their system... I just get a message saying PS4 cannot start.

I do. forgive me as they're not my pics. Just so u get the idea. But i think a lil shot out to "cmorton73" is in order for finding an alternative method than sony's recommended $150 solution. Not to toot my own horn but kinda proud of myself over here!!!! Lol.

I came home to a new update last night, tried to update and it gave me an error code su-30627-8. I tried both options that helped people, booting in safe mode to update and finally to USB update with wipe. It ended with a new error code e-80180202. I retried and it told me it couldn’t access system storage. I retried again and not it says cannot start PS4. I tried going through safe mode, no hope.
Did this update kill my PS4? I've read around and tech support suggests paying for repairs. I don't think I should pay for an issue I didnt create, I just bought games the other day too *****

Fixed mine finally!! Still ***** that I had to wipe my PlayStation per the customer rep at Sony saying only option I had. I opened up my PlayStation and the disk drive connector fell out plugged it back in and update complete Sony wanted me to send it in and said it was a 200 dollar fix . Now I’m thinking they would have taken a month or so to plug in a connection and charged me 200 dollars. Wow Sony thanks for letting me delete 3 years of gameplay by giving me no other options

So I havent owned a Playstation since the PS2, having decided to go with the Xbox/360/One, but after losing any interest in Microsoft and their lack of first party titles I gladly decided to get a PS4 as well. I have been loving playing all the games, and for the most part it is superior in every department. Now, I notice there is an option to pair wireless Headphones to the PS4, but the pairs I own do not show up on there, meaning they are not compatible. Now I cant really afford to buy a Sony pair, so I was wondering if there is an Up-to-date list of compatible Headphones that pair with it? I have searched high and low online, and most people are not very helpful, or link back to original forum posts from 2013, which obviously isnt up to date at all. Any help to a new user would be greatly appreciated.

The guy who I spoke to from a Sony emphasised saying it must suck. But hung up before anything could be resolved.
Im in the UK and have been advised to make contact with a TV show called Watchdog that look into companies and people’s complaints. I’ve just done that so I’m hoping if enough people get onto them, they might be able to help.

If it autosaved so you cant go back to the section before, it sounds like you are going to have to restart the game unfortunately. It sucks, but sounds the only way, I had a similar issue recently in TLOU, where I killed an enemy before I was supposed to, and couldnt progress. Sorry!

So randomly took your advice and opened mine again. No connectors or screws were or are loose.
Booted it up in safe mode and am currently downloading the update again. Was unable to do this yesterday so fingers crossed?
