Platinum Headset Problems again.

Hi all.

 

So the Platinum headset I bought at launch is having problems again.

 

In the last week it has had trouble connecting to the PS4 (since resolved), no sound, (since resolved) and failure to charge (since resolved)

 

But now the mic is playing up, people in the party say I'm too quiet while on the same level as always. Turn it up by one of two notches and everyone can hear my game through the headset and I'm still too quiet.

 

Anyone know what's going on? Getting tired of this stuf happening. I've tried updating them to no avail and am almost ready to throw them away and get either Turtle Beaches or Astro's.

 

Anyone else having these issues? It's starting to drive me up the wall.

PS4 Switches Itself off After 5.00 Update

Also having the exact same issue since the 5.00 update. There doesn't seem to be any predictability to it, either. Some days it'll work as intended, successfully going into Rest Mode as expected, multiple times throughout the day. Other days, it'll fail to enter Rest Mode after just a few minutes of play.

 

If you listen carefully, you can hear the hard drive ticking away for several seconds after the 'Preparing to enter Rest Mode' screen disappears. This must be the system saving the state, but for some reason isn't able to do so and decides to unexpectedly shut down. I have observed that on the occasions when the system successfully enters Rest Mode, it stays that way, so the problem occurs when switching to the lower power state.

 

I've spoken with Sony at great length about this and they can provide no explanation, other than spending the repair fee which amounts to almost as much as a new console. Thing is, I'm not sure whether it's a hardware issue or not because the console runs perfectly otherwise, and never shuts down when in use.

Ive reset passwords reset my internet. Made nee accounts tried other wifi options nothing is working. Sony what the *****! Acknowledge us and fix this ***** been un able to play gane for a ***** week.

Thanks I found that. Seems he’s just dropped his own money on a console for the sole function of playing with others and that function isn’t an option for him. He’s no better off than if he’d stayed with the Xbox. I’m not willing to allow him access without parent controls and there seems no work around. Yes the money thing works the same on iOS and Xbox, with these I have to approve the spend request or put money in his account respectively, but ultimately it comes out of my account. Thanks again for the reply

EVERYONE IF YOU SEE THIS THEN BELIEVE ME WHEN I SAY IT IS AN EXTREMELY BAD IDEA TO RESET YOUR PS4. It will not work because I did it thinking it would only to get the error code again, so I have lost all of my games and I have the error code. JUST SEND IT OFF. Also I have a question does the warranty cover this?

So I bought bloodborne on disc and The Old Hunters DLC and its not working on different region and I understood and asked them for a refund for 5 times already and they only once responded we will soon gona answer you.The Croatian customer service is so rude and bad.They hate when you ask and now not seeking guidance my ps4 broke.Ty so much.No one is answering me and when they do its just one answer and I want the refund for the DLC that isnt working.

The only workaround to play these Age Rated games that are not suitable for minors online involves breaking the Terms of Service and I would strongly advise your Son not to take that route...

 

Your Son will probably already know what to do, to bypass these Age Restrictions, word of mouth from school friends or searches on the Internet would have given him the Know-how.

 

Many children that have used this workaround come running here complaining that they have been banned..  any purchases, trophies, game progression is lost when that happens.  It's just not worth the risk.

Yes he does know but he can’t do it. We have a lot of tech etc. I have everything locked down. Internet devices are only alowed in the living areas, where we are and can monitor activity. All his emails etc are on my iPad. Devices are checked all the time. Screen time is limited - no screens on school nights. Any breach of our rules he loses access indefinitely. I think that is what makes this so frustrating! I use all the parental controls and more. It’s not like I let him play Grand theft auto. It’s a 10 yo playing a rated 12! Moreover, a rated 12 he has full access to on iOS and xbox - with my full consent and all over parental controls in place. Add to the fact he’s spent months doing chores for us and family and saving every penny to buy his ps4 console, which he finally got today and he’s sitting here playing his old xbox.

You sound very savvy, wish more parents were like that.  My daughter is 3 next month, so I've years to prepare before letting her play anything.  But, yeah a lot of parents just let their kids get on with it for the easy life.

I currently cant acces my ps4, I already know what I have to do with the Pen Drive, could somebody please tel me what will happen to all my games, and info on my playstation? Also, will it have all my trophys ans levels passed?
