It shouldn't.
It could well be the usb socket on the controller is damaged and is subsequently damaging the plugs on your cables.
It might be worth considering a charging station such as the Official charging station that uses the EXT port next to the headphone socket, rather than the usb port for charging.
I swear by mine.
There are a few third party ones that charge via the EXT port as well.

He accedently redeemed the code that he got with the Pro - Edition on my profile I don’t play the game at all nor do I own it. I finally solved the problem.
I had to replace the HDD. It was a very easy process, I just had to buy a new HDD.
So the problem with my PS4 was that the HDD was damaged.
After I replaced it, I reinstalled the system, and everything worked fine.
It pops up an error that say
