this is a bug with the games themselves. I assume you own the gold editions of origins and oddyssey? Cause this bug is only in gold editions of ubisoft games. Trophies won't show in recent activity for the gold editions of any ubisoft games, same issue is in far cry 5. Not sure if its only related to disk, or if its digital too, but its definitely an issue with gold editions on disk since I have the same issue and so do others I know.
I have contacted sony and ubisoft about this, they don't listen though. they just tell you to rebuild database etc. Sadly there is no offical bug reporting for anything on ps4, so nothing has been done about it for over a year so the only thing you can do is just not buy gold editions of ubisoft games if the recent activity bug bothers you.

I see everyone mentioning assassins creed. I can confirm this recent activity issue is related to those games if you own gold editions of these games, happens to me to. Ubisoft say its sony's fault. Sony do nothing, they're useless at listening to people. Don't bother with looking through hidden games list or whatever to try and fix it. This is a issue isolated to these specific games if own gold version

Yup These Regional issues have always been annoying...
Europe is a lot stricter than across the other side of the Globe... namely USA. But then, Sony make a lot of profit from US customers. They get some great deals from Sony that Europe kinda don't get.
On a side Note... as long as these kids don't annoy me when I'm playing online.. that's fine... I've played games in the past that are designed for older people, only to be wrecked by squeaky foul mouthed kiddies on open Mic or they disrupt game play by stupidity on purpose.. other than that, the kiddies can do what they want..
Always two sides.
1. Parents who want their kids to play Restricted games
2. Adults who want the best gaming experience they pay for.
Am I a bad person for choosing option 2??
Sorry if that sounds bad... but I'm also paying for a Service and I want the best gaming experience I can get.... I shouldn't have to put up with kids playing games that are restricted for them to do so...

Afternoon Feex, I've just done a system rebuild, removed Ethernet cable, disconnected from internet, made sure I've activated my ps4 as my primary, restored licences, so about to embark further in the assassins creed odyssey story to see if the issue still persist, I'll get back to you at a later date, also like you said Ubisoft said same thing "It's sony" and I'm still waiting on a response from them.

I see your point, but I think it should be tackled by other means. Nobody puts a hedge around a pedestrian path and guardian to only allow elderly people to use it, so they don't get disturbed by running children :-)
I wonder, would putting a VPN'ed proxy between PS4 and the Internet make it think as it is in the US, and thus would give all the US benefits to the user? ;-)

Personally, I wouldn't mess around with settings... Sony monitor everything that the PS4 does... They may take time to be discovered, but it's all logged away.
The only way around to getting your kids play is either letting them play with a Master Account, namely the Parent's Account and trusting them not to do anything that will cause Sony to ban such Account... You run the risk of letting that child spend money if you don't take precautions to prevent them, plus they'd have access to everything.
You could make them an Adult Account of their own... and use a DOB that can provide proof of ownership!! Again, the kid could abuse the Account and run up debts or view content not fit for youngsters.
Create an US Account with the Kids real DOB and govern the usage from the Parental Account. The kid would have to be on the best of behaviour with such Account as location would not match the data held for the DOB.
Either way, these options could get the Account banned when Sony discover it was created under false data. Even given out your Sign In details for the first option is not Allowed.
The only real option is to be the Parent and put your foot down and simply say NO... You are not old enough to play that game etc etc. The kids won't like it, but in years to come, they will still have their Account as it shouldn't end up in Sony's vault of Banned Accounts.

My PS4 has been hacked
Hey, so I think my PS4 has been hacked.
I was playing ranked Rocket League like I've done for years now, and mid game i receive a notification saying "you have been added to a group by:" (( a user that I do not know, and don't remember his id)) 30 seconds later, my controller stops working, it doesn't turn on again, so I'm unable to do anything with my ps4, so I am forced to restart it.
I restart it and it goes to the report problem screen, I fill in what the issue is and press "okay", but it doesn't get past that, when I get to the home screen it lags and brings me back to the report problem screen, Ive tried everything, plugging out the power cable, restarting my ps4.. but I am not able to use it, please help me, I'm worried I won't be able to use my ps4 anymore

All the account creation would lead to loosing the existing PS Plus subscription and attached games/data, this is not good. I guess, the same goes for playing on Master account (by the way, there is no password asked at login time, it's just a matter of choice which account gets used).
As for saying NO - how can you argue that point, if half of his friends play that game on a PC or by some other means?
But I wonder, the kid moving away to US along with his PS4 is a legit case, so there should be support for this.

error code when using my personal PSN username
This happened to both me and my friend last night when playing Rainbow Six Siege. We both blue screened with error code 36329-3 at the same time. I can no longer use my username because as soon as I select my username and it takes me to the home screen, it gets the same error code. I cannot log into PS network to download my games because I cannot use my PSN username. I can use guest and browse just fine. I actually wiped my PS4 and initialized via safe mode, updated via safe mode. Didn't work. Considering this happened to both of us at the same time, it can't just be my PS4.

You can use Pass Codes for the Accounts and better still, there is a feature called 2 Step Verification.
You would need to enter a Code for the Pass Code method.

2 Step Verification asks for a Code that is sent to any Handy/House Phone that can receive Messages. It's only used when the Account is completely Sign out of. This is a great feature that stops Accounts falling into the wrong hands. It would save a Phone call to Support asking for assistance retrieving a compromised Account. Youngster have a habit of exchanging Sign In information with others in order to GameShare, which is against the Terms of Service.
Kids do what other kids do.... it's the Parent that should be in control.
Easier said than done in most cases.. too much pressure to fit in.
I've all this to deal with when my daughter is older, so I can appreciate the problems people have are difficult. The Parent is the Parent!!
As for kids moving to US... they can create Legitimate US Accounts and use them. They can still use their original Account whilst there, but that Account still comes under Sony European operation.

Performing a full initialize didn't fix my problem so now I'm trying this USB route. I bought a brand new flash drive, formatted to fat32, went to the site and downloaded the 9xxMB file under "reinstall software update" and my ps4 wont recognize it. I have a first gen ps4, I'm ready to trade it in for the Red Dead pro edition and be done with it. I can't play any games without suffering constant crashes. Any advice would be much appreciated.
