I have almost 10x the amount of space and it wont update my game.... 9GB and i havw 86GB free space and i uniinstalled a 30GB game to update it :(

Thank you but ai already saw that link. I didn't remove the HD, that's like I said first, it says on the screen that I removed it but I didn't even touch it. I even made a video. I'm gonna take my HD to my neighbor and see if on his ps4 the same problem happens, I got nothing to lose on the HD, it's brand new.

The idea from that thread is that you need to reinstall the software on your ps4. Back up your progress and google search " ps4 update" click on the first link and follow the steps at the very bottom of the webpage .
P.S. : It will work perfectly on your neighbours ps4.

Yet if the hdd and cable test good and there are no issues before 6.5 then there is an issue with 6.5 on my ps4 but without the ability to go back to previous firmware this is inconclusive but the most likely. It's possible 6.5 got corrupted durning download as I'm on wireless internet and storms affect it. Yet with no way to reload firmware it's still best guess.

I don't have another external drive, if I do it I'll delete everything. But thanks. It's funny though how something brand new works fine on any product except Sony products, I tested on my neighbor's Sony tv and the tv didn't recognize the drive at all hehe. Did the test on an LG TV and on a SempToshiba and it worked just fine, but not on sony products hehehehe

External HDD problem
Another fun thing is that the ps4 is new too, never took it to friends house or used it in a way that it shouldn't, I bought it like 6 months ago and it happens. Some games that I bought crashed too. Now talking as a consumer not a technician, the ideia of having a video game is to plug and play not having these issues cause I haven't done anything wrong

firmware 2.0 - no sound issue
I am just experiencing the same issue after Sony pushed an update on me. No audio out of my PS4. Using a dedinitive technology soundbar with an iark hdmi switch that strips off the audio and sends it over optical audio to the soundbar. This has worked fine for 2 yrs until recently when Sony pushed a system update on me. A direct optical audio connection works fine in this case.

Error SU-42118-6 while updating to 6.0
I have a ps4 slim and with the new 6.5 update i got this error and my disk drive was working perfectly fine hrs before the update after i tried to install the update my disk drive stopped working i had to manually remove the game that i was playing. ive tried everything short of taking it in and paying to get it fixed which i cant afford to do.

Same bro. My system was working fine till 6.50 was installed. I done rebuilt the database about 10 times & nothing happened.

It's absolutely the update. I had sound, updated, and immediately had no sound.
And I'm pretty sure I'll be another one going green in the next console generation because of this.

No Sound coming from tv
So, I transferred my PS4 from my HDTV to my CRT tv, but sound will not come out of the speakers. Sound does come from my headphones when plugged in. I used a different HDMI cable, nothing. I unplugged the TV and the PS4, waited half an hour, plugged everything back in, nothing. Is their anything else I can do?
