Do you have enough free storage space available to download the game?
Double the free space is required to perform the download and installation unpacking process,so a 50GB will require 100GB at least of free storage space available.

CE-30784-2 and the text "The USB storage device is not connected." most times is your stick is formatted incorrectly.
It needs to be FAT32 or (preferably) exFAT
It won't recognise NTFS.
The PS4 can be "picky" over usb memory sticks even if they are correctly formatted as well.

Can't Delete Hate Mail in "Notifications"!
I recently received some hate mail due to my connection. Connection is fixed, but I can't remove the notification for the message. It shows the first sentence of the message, which has some swearing. Please tell me how to do this. Again, it's not the message, it's the "notification" for the message. Thanks!

Replacement PlayStation is only 500gb
so PS4 broke down, (still in warranty) so sent it back 11 days later get a whole new one sent back, brilliant I thought,
fired it up all is well until I discover that the 1 tb model I sent back to them has been replaced with a brand new 500gb console, just wondering if this had happened to anyone else and how long it took to sort out, I phoned Sony up and all I got was that they would contact the repair department and they would contact me (that was 8 hours ago and still nothing) any thoughts?

My PS4 is able to read discs and update them, but when i try to start the application i get an error and it ejects the disc. I have tried rebuilding the database, reinstalling the system update, and deleting and reinstalling the applications.

Fan still running in rest mode
I had this issue recently.
There was no pending downloads / uploads etc. I suspected that some games needed updated.
i then started all of my games and triggered an update for bf1.
finally my PS4 fans went quiet once the download was done.

The only way to resolve this issue for myself was to delete every game I had on my HDD (save for P.T. and Overwatch) in order to make sure there weren't any hidden "pending" updates or other stuck processes. This has been bothering me for MONTHS but suddenly the PS4 is now completely silent in rest mode 👍
