PS4 Pro HDR washed out - resolve.
Hello everyone
So great news in regards to this hdr issue, after updating my ps4 pro system to the most recent version 5.00 and putting all my ps4 pro setting on automatic (including hdmi range of tv on auto) hdr is perfect on my sony tv. No more dull colours, I have tested it with multiple games nba2k18, UNCHARTED 4, injustice 2, BF1 and all look perfect. This is further verified when you press the playstation button on your controller while in game and then go back to the main dashboard it is no longer faded, the colours of the ps4 pro main menu look the same as when hdr is off. It seems this was an internal issue of the console and had nothing to do with the tv all along. Very happy though that this was fixed by Sony.

If you want to play each other's Games, just use the Share Play Button on your Controller.
It will connect to your Friends Console and you can play his/her Game for up to 60 minutes at a time. You can even play together with some Games.

NEW FIX-----Unplug and re plug the system 20 times, while simultaneously holding the unit at precisely a 45 degree angle. Step 2, after the 20th plug in do 4 cartwheels and press circle and square 6 times at 4 second intervals. Step three, whisper sweet nothings into the fans on the rear of the machine. Step four put it down and go to bed because they aint fixin nothin today!!!!!

So my console has the broken disc drive. I get the error, this is how I got around it.Plug your controller in and restart the console. At the screen with the error, the controller appears to be off but you can hit Circle to go back. Hit circle and the screen turns off. Hold the PS button on the controller and console comes back on, says it's checking storage, reboots after it hits 100% and starts normally....This worked for me but your results may vary. Unfotunately, the update is still there and I have decided not to update (which won't let me sign in, play, ect) until there is more info on how to get around the bad drive. But at least I'm not booting into the error screen.

This happened on my son's ps4 on one of the previous updates and I disconnected the bluray completely then fully initialized and reinstalled the system software. It fixed the problem but he's unable to use the bluray. If they don't do something by tomorrow I'm going to do the same procedure to my ps4

How much free space have you got on the HDD? Might need to free some up. Usually the "Cannot Install" message for a game is due to not enough space. You need to have double the amount of the game plus an extra 50GB available

Any word on this getting fixed or there being a work around? I'm seeing a lot of posts saying it's due to a bunk Blu-Ray drive.... I'm sure like many other I don't use my Blu-Ray can those of us not using the Blu-Ray drive get a work around?

So apparently from my chat with even a supervisor, they don't even know what's going on. Apparently they "claim" the engineers are working on a fix. But I will keep calling back everyday till its fixed, and we should all ask for some form of compensation for the down time, hopefully the more we start digging into their pockets, the more motivated they'd be to fix it.

How long have you not used the Account??
If Support are saying it don't exist.. then it may have been deleted by Sony.. If an Account is not used for over 24 Months.. they can delete it.. Not sure if they actually do, but it's now in the T&C's that they have that option.
or did you try "Live Chat" only a few Countries have this option to contact Support, if you are coming in from a Country that is not Supported.. then it shows "Account don't Exist".
Your OP is a bit unclear on certain matters.
