Enter Safe Mode and run Option 5 "Rebuild Database" then try again
- Turn off the PlayStation 4 by pressing the power button on the front panel. The power indicator will blink for a few moments before turning off.
- Once the PlayStation 4 is off, press and hold the power button. Release it after you've heard two beeps: one when you first press, and another seven seconds later.
- Connect the DualShock 4 controller with the USB cable and press the PS button on the controller.

DLNA Client ID changed Again twonky based NAS media servers will/may need the device ID type repaired to the Client type again to sony Bravia TV/BD player as Twonky has habit to not work when DLNA clients update untill the Client type is changed again...

'Recent Activities' not updating
I had this issue recently too, and doing as mont said seems to have worked for me. Not quite fully working though from what I can tell, as only some of my activity has started showing again, not friends stuff. But only sorted it out yesterday, so there might not be anything from anyone else at the moment.
Anyway, it won't update with what you've missed in that time. It will just have start working again from now. I had to earn some trophies to get it to start showing anything. Even playing a new game for the first time wasn't showing until I I earned a trophy

Well, I have unticked all the boxes as previously mentioned, but still no good. I have earned some trophies since doing this, but my Recent Activities are only displaying the trophies I earned months ago.
Does anyone know if Sony are investigating this? Seems to of been an issue since the update.

It's not the update it's a server side issue problems started last week,it's also affecting the PlayStation App What's New feed.
I have managed to fix mine with the Hidden Games list toggling on/off etc.

So I'm just gonna assume that this is a money thing. I'm still counting on how long I've had this damn paper weight, because obviously it take the whole damn PlayStation community to speak up about a issue or else PlayStation isn't gonna get off there ass's and fix this piece of garbage they call a company. I would rather give 500 bucks to Microsoft for a Xbox one x than pay 100 dollars for something PlayStation could fix but got for bid it's a about the dollar signs

PS4 can't resume download after pausing
No. It doesn't "start from the beginning". It continues from where it left off, as it always has. The numbers that display are the remaining left to download. This is to save you looking at potentially, two big numbers. Now you have two smaller numbers to look at.

Hi folks
System Software version 5.01 for the PlayStation 4 has been released today. This is an optional update.
To update the System Software using your PS4 go to [Settings] > [System Software Update] and click 'Next' and then 'Update'.
If for any reason you cannot use your PS4 to download the update, it is also available to download and install using a computer and USB storage device. Please note it may take a short while for the page to be updated with the new version file.

For those still wondering about free repairs without a warranty or warranty stickers, that seems to be a clear statement. Note for the picture, this isn't mine, it's from Ross129. Looks like no update will be coming. It's is obviously just another person from support, so not a Sony representative. At least this is a clear message. Hope it helps some people.

Yes.
It's usually the case with .01,02 and 03 etc updates, features will go in updates such as 5.10,5.20 or even jump to 5.50.
